Jennifer Cross

Owner

I am the owner and head trainer of The Dog Spot.  I have been working with dogs for over 15 years beginning with owning a dog walking company for over 9 years where I specialized in walking reactive dogs.  I have a zoology degree from the University of Washington, a Certificate of Canine Studies from the Seattle School of Canine Studies and an Applied Animal Degree from the University of Washington.  In addition to running the business end of The Dog Spot, I spend a lot of time in the playrooms observing dog play and body language, wrangling and training in the puppy preschool, designing and teaching staff continuing education and teaching training classes including Basic Manners, Terrific Teens and Reactive Rover.  My goal is to run a safe, healthy daycare as well as be a well known resource for positive reinforcement training in the community.  I truly love this business and feel proud that we can offer such a different type of daycare service.

Taylor McMaster

I am the manager and one of the dog trainers here at The Dog Spot. I have 2 amazing and crazy kiddos ages 8 and 5 as well as a super awesome husband. I have two rough coat collies, Nova and Phoenix.  I am a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College and have been training since 2006. I am also currently one of the puppy trainers in our Puppy Preschool Program. I've taught Basic Obedience classes as well as an advanced obedience class called Beyond the Backyard. I've also taught one of my favorite classes, FUNgility. I was hired at The Dog Spot in 2009 and can truly say dogs are my passion! What I have learned about canine behavior through the observation of play is invaluable. It has helped me to become a better trainer and has helped me to understand how dogs learn, play and communicate so much more. This in turn helps me make educated decisions when it comes to the safety and success of all dogs here at The Dog Spot!

I joined The Dog Spot family in 2015. As soon as I began working with dogs I knew it was something I would want to make a career out of! I have 2 dogs of my own. Rufus, a chocolate lab and Lola, a shih-tzu. I received my puppy certification through The Karen Proyer Academy in 2017 and also earned my diploma in canine behavior through The International School For Canine Psychology in 2020. You will often see me training puppies in the preschool and coordinating puppy graduations! I absolutely love learning about dog training and behavior and I am excited to continue moving forward with it as a career!

Madeline Sybertz

My name is Madi and I've been working at The Dog Spor since July 2017! I have loved animals my whole life and working with dogs is a dream come true for me. I have also been showing in 4-H for the past 9 years an am apart of the Sno-Isle Tech Veterinary Assisting class. In my free time I love to hang out with my dog Molly. I also have another dog named Gemma and a rabbit and guinea pigs. My favorite part about working at The Dog Spot is being able to spend time with so many dogs and also learn so much about dogs behavior.

Bryanna Loughridge

Hi, I'm Bry and I am one of the puppy trainers in our puppy preschool! I started working at The Dog Spot in fall of 2018 and I love it more each day I am there! I have been interested in animal behavior for as long as I can remember and I got my Bachelors in Anthrozoology to learn as much as I could about it. My interests extend from dogs to all sorts of animals. I've even worked at the Woodland Park Zoo teaching kids of all ages about the fun animals there. Training is truly my passion and I am so glad I get to pursue it as a career!

Annabelle Branan

Hi, I'm Annabelle! I am the mama of a beautiful black lab named Gus and 2 rascally cats, Bug and Rishi. I have been working at The Dog Spot since December 2018 and loving every second of it. It is such a treat getting to develop relationships with all the pups that visit us and I love that there is always more to discover about the way dogs learn, think and relate to the world! When I am not loving on puppies, I can be found gardening, crafting or generally working with my hands.

Lindsey Phillips

Hey! I'm Lindsey. I am one of the several awesome people here who work at The Dog Spot. I am a mother and a partner. I have 2 kitty kiddos that I adore. My lifestyle consists of spending time with my family and being outdoors as much as possible. The Dog Spot is my home away from home. I love being able to create bonds with all the lovely pups who spend their days with us. Thank you to all that make it possible!

Hi, I'm Avery! Currently I am in the running start program at Everett Community College and I am majoring in pre-veterinary medicine! My interests are hiking, camping (pretty much anything outside) and hanging out with my dog of course! His name is Spade and he is a super sweet 9 year old black lab. I've worked at The Dog Spot since November 2019 and working with animals is something I have always wanted to do. I am so excited to keep learning and meet as many dogs as possible!

Hailey Herrera

I joined The Dog Spot family in 2019. My interest in working with dogs began when I got my first (personal) dog when I was 16. I started volunteering at a shelter and then began walking and doing house sitting. I worked at a couple of boarding facilities before I started working at The Dog Spot. I got my puppy certification through the Karen Proyer Academy shortly after starting and now I am working to get my diploma through the International School for Canine Psychology and Behavior. I have 4 dogs of my own: a Husky mix, Border Collie, German Shepherd and a Cattled Dog/Border Collie mix. I also have 3 kitties. The Dog Spot has taught me not only how to be a better dog owner, but a better trainer and animal advocate as a whole and I am so blessed to continue my journey working with dogs here!
