This fun filled classes focuses on teaching useful cues and skills along with learning tools and ideas for dealing iwth common behavior problems. Class emphasizes understanding how dogs learn and how you can use that knowledge in your training. Your dog will learn basic cues such as sit, down, stay and come as well as useful skills such as walking on a loose leash and polite greeting manners. This is an interactive class with each student bringing their own quesitons and problems then working as a class to figure out how to solve them. By the end of class you will have the skills to look at behaviors, determine what's going on and how to solve them!

JUMP INTO AGILITY SEMINAR $60.00
At the end of this fun, active agility workshop you will know why agility is one of the fastest growing sports in Seattle and the rest of the USA. We will present basic agility information and do a short agility demonstration. The rest of the agility workshop will be spent with you and your dog having fun together participating in an introduction to this exciting and rewarding activity. Your dog will have an opportunity to try out each peice of equipment in a positive, fun environment. No pressure, just lots of treats!
Dog agility is a great opportunity to build trust and and confidence and enhance your relationship with your dog. You'll also meet people who are crazy about their dogs too! For most of the JIA workshops dogs should be 10 months or older-if your dog is mature but younger, ask for instructor permission. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and not dog reactive. Handler of any age are welcome!
CANINE TRICKS AND GAMES
Tricks and Games training for dogs 5 months and older
6 week sessions | $150 per dog and handler team | Instructor approval necessary for admission into class
More than your typical tricks class! Tricks and games are a great way to build a bond with your dog and increase your dog's confidence level. In this class, students explore the fun of training through tricks and games. Owners and their dogs will participate in a variety of relationship building tricks and games over the course of the 6 week class. This class is best for dogs that have a solid basic obedience foundation. Pre-authorization is necessary to be part of this class.

Reactive Rover Seminar
A 2 day seminar for dogs 5 months and over who struggle on-leash with other dogs or strangers.
$100 per dog handler team | Instructor approval required for entry into class
Reactive Rover is a 2 day seminar designed to help dogs who display reactivity towards dogs or humans while on leash or behind a barrier such as a fence or car window. Reactivity can be a sign of fear or frustration and usually manifest through barking, growling or lunging towards the triggering object. The first day is a lecture without dogs discussing the motivations behind the behavior and what to do about it including how to recognize stress signals, triggers, threshold distances and how to re-train a more appropriate response while helping your dog feel more comfortable with the triggering object. The second day is a practical application day where each student and their dog will have an opportunity to practice the re-training method individually. C.L.A.S.S.
Canine Life and Social Skills (B.A. level)
$150.00 per dog/handler team | Instructor approval required for entry into class
Canine Life and Social Skills is designed as a follow up to any Basic Manners class. The course of study will emphasize training real-life skills such as waiting at doors, leaving forbidden objects, greeting people politely, loose leash walking and reliable recall. Class culminates in an exam designed to demonstrate the practical real-life skills of the dog/handler team. Additional emphasis will be placed on perfecting cues, increasing reliability and completely fading food and physical prompts. Graduates who pass the B.A. level examination will have the opportunity to study for and take the M.A. (accesses the real life skills of a dog/handler team with distractions) adn Ph.D. (accesses the performance reliability of a dog/handler team's life skills) levels of the C.L.A.S.S. program if they so desire.
